In recent years, the School of Life Sciences has made tremendous success in research. This is demonstrated by both the quality of the journal publications as well as the successful technology transfers (?) at the School. The School has invested in building a series of research platforms in order to improve the quality of our future research and teaching. In addition, the establishment of the Tsinghua University - Peking University Center for Life Sciences (CLS) and the Beijing Advanced Innovation Center for Structural Biology (ICSB) also help to boost our research activities in the future.

In 2016, the School of Life Sciences has over 300 ongoing major projects, including but not limited to the National Program on Key Basic Research Program of China (973 Program) projects, the National Science and Technology Major Projects and the National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC) projects, amounting to ~100 million RMB of research funds.
